The Cloudstory HighRider XXIII embraces the resurgence of ’90s transparent frame aesthetics with a semi-transparent smoke grey acrylic frame that reveals the inner metal temple hinges as decorative elements rather than concealing them — turning the engineering of the frame into part of its visual design language. The frame body is machined from 6 mm cast acrylic rod stock on a CNC lathe rather than injection-molded, producing optical clarity within the frame material itself that injection molding cannot achieve and providing a chunky, substantial visual mass that communicates luxury without gold or leather. The round 51 mm lenses are set in a deep 4 mm acetate-lined lens rim that provides a dual-material visual texture — smoke grey acrylic outer ring surrounding a matte black acetate inner rim. Flat gradient lenses in Category 2 density (50% transmission) provide comfortable city shade without the visual contrast reduction associated with full Category 3 lenses. The interior barrel hinge assembly is constructed from solid 316L stainless steel with visible polished surfaces through the transparent frame body. Temple cores are steel wire jacketed in matching transparent smoke acrylic. Anti-reflective and scratch-resistant coatings on both lens surfaces.
