The Cloudstory HeritageClub XXIX pays tribute to the golden age of eyewear craftsmanship through a round metal frame in the tradition of early-twentieth-century optical manufacturing — complete with a hand-soldered keyhole nose bridge, coil-spring cable temples, and rivet-set lenses mounted without the benefit of modern adhesives or plastic components. The frame metal is nickel-silver alloy — a material used in vintage frames for its tarnish resistance, workability, and characteristic warm silver appearance — hand-polished to a bright finish and lacquer-sealed against moisture. The keyhole bridge is formed from a separate piece of nickel-silver tubing, soft-soldered to the frame rim under a microscope for invisible joint quality. Cable temples are hand-coiled from 1 mm wire and wrapped in natural cork for skin contact — the same material originally used in nineteenth-century frames before synthetic rubber became available. The 44 mm round glass lenses are set into the frame using a traditional cold-setting rivet method, where the rim material is mechanically deformed around the lens edge using a specialized lens setter tool — the same technique used before UV-cured adhesive setting became the industry standard.
