The Cloudstory NightRider V is purpose-designed for driving in low-light, overcast, and night-time conditions where ordinary sunglasses reduce visibility to a dangerous degree. The amber yellow NXT lenses selectively filter blue wavelengths between 380 and 500 nanometers — the primary component of oncoming headlight glare and rainy-day haze — while transmitting 85% of total visible light, producing a brighter, sharper image in dim conditions than the naked eye perceives. Anti-reflective multi-layer coating on both lens surfaces suppresses internal reflections from dashboard instruments and streetlights. The semi-rimless stainless steel frame keeps peripheral vision completely unobstructed for safer lane changes and parking maneuvers. Flat temple arms are designed to sit comfortably over standard over-ear headphones and earphones without pressure build-up during extended drives. The medium-fit frame is sized to sit correctly at the optimal eye-relief distance from the lens surface for an adult driver seated in a typical vehicle position. UV400 protection ensures eye safety during dawn and dusk driving when UV levels remain significant despite low ambient brightness.
