The Cloudstory WoodGrain VII celebrates the beauty of natural materials in a sunglasses frame that harmonizes FSC-certified American black walnut wood veneer with a precision stainless steel structural core. Each frame front is individually hand-routed from 3 mm walnut veneer panels bonded to a 1 mm stainless steel backbone, combining the warm aesthetic of natural wood grain with the structural rigidity of metal — ensuring the frame will not warp, crack, or delaminate in humidity or temperature extremes. Because walnut grain patterns are unique to each plank, no two Cloudstory WoodGrain VII frames are identical, making each pair a one-of-a-kind object. The lens openings are finished with a protective lacquer rim that seals exposed wood edges against moisture infiltration. Polarized green-tinted glass lenses reduce glare from sunlit landscapes and water bodies while maintaining natural color rendering for outdoor activities. Barrel hinges are machined from 316 stainless steel and thread-locked to prevent loosening. The inner temple contact surfaces are lined with hypoallergenic cork padding — a sustainable material that provides natural grip and ventilation against the skin.
