The shield lens spans 145 mm across both eyes with an integrated 15 mm nasal bridge section that eliminates the lens gap between eyes — a critical gap in conventional sunglasses that exposes inner eye areas to UV reflection from snow surfaces at altitude. The inner lens surface is coated with HydroFog anti-fog treatment — a hydrophilic molecular coating that causes condensation to spread as a transparent film rather than forming opaque droplets, tested at -20°C ambient temperature with 100% relative humidity without optical degradation. The outer polycarbonate lens achieves 99.5% UV400 protection and Category 4 optical density, the maximum available in sunglasses, reducing total visible light to 8% transmission for use at high-altitude glaciers and reflective snowfields.
